The group
Before leaving the reader to this special Report, we would like to say a few words. From the 19th to the 26th of August near Bibbiena took place the summer seminar for kids organized by Iris Scanlon from the dojo Infinity Moves in Muelheim an der Ruhr (Germany). Iris is very well known for having a long running experience in Aikido for Kids, in fact lot of examination criteria and belt systems used in Italy are actually based on her method of teaching. The event took place in Tuscany and involved instructors, children and adults from Germany, England and Italy too. Among the latter there were Mirco and his kids from Mogliano Veneto. The uniqueness of this report in fact is that it was actually written by four young students of Mirco: Andrea, Bianca, Emma ed Asya.
And now enjoy the reading.

The kids coming together
Hello everybody, we are four girls named Andrea, Asya, Bianca and Emma. We’ve been practicing Aikido for 2 years and we are 11 to 12 years old. Our sensei is Mirco and he is very serious about Aikido even though he always lets us play at the end of each class.
One day of April Mirco told us that maybe we were going to Bibbiena in order to attend an international seminar in August. We were very excited about the whole idea of being away with our sensei for 4 days practicing Aikido.
The 19th of August was the day of our departure and after months of preparation, it finally arrived.
After a long trip with on stop on the way, we reached our destination a fantastic Agriturismo at 13:30.
We had lunch together and we put our baggage in a big room that was going to be used as common room for the boys.
We had all the building and the pool for ourselves until the others from Germany arrived since they were late because of an unexpected setback.

The kitchen “duties”
In the evening we were assigned to our room and then we participated to the “welcome game” in the Dojo, a cerimony to introduce ourself and to meet the other kids.
Finally the first day was over and we went to sleep.
During the seminar the practice started very early, we woke up at 5:30 to do meditation before breakfast. Every day we had plenty of play and practice time but we also had our duties, like preparing and setting up the table and helping the cook in the kitchen.

Tired but happy
It was quite an experience to practice with different Instructors in so many different ways. But the thing that we definitely enjoyed the most was the opportunity to meet so many nice boys and girls with whom we shared many happy moments. This is something that we will remember for a long time.
We all agree that this adventure was way more fun that we’ve expected, the seminar wasn’t too intense so we had time to meet and spend time together
IT WAS A GORGEOUS EXPERIENCE!!!!!!
